Regular House Cleaning in Vancouver: What's Included?
Regular house cleaning focuses on recurring kitchen, bathroom, surface and floor care. Your exact checklist should be agreed before the visit, including which rooms are covered and any requested extras. At Cleaning Fairy Vancouver, the aim is to keep a maintained home manageable through a clear plan, rather than leaving you to guess what “regular cleaning” means.
Use the checklist below to discuss your booking. It is a guide to the core areas to confirm, not a promise that an unlimited list fits every appointment or every home's starting condition.

Kitchen maintenance
Accessible countertops and the sink.
Exterior surfaces and appliance fronts within the agreed scope.
Accessible cabinet fronts or handles that need routine attention.
Floor vacuuming or sweeping and suitable mopping.
The specific everyday marks and areas you want prioritised.
Let us know whether dishes or belongings will remain on the counters. A surface cannot receive the same attention when covered by appliances, papers and groceries. If you want the oven or refrigerator interior cleaned, request it in advance so the work can be planned.
Bathrooms
Confirm the toilets, sinks, mirrors, tubs or showers and floors included in the visit. Mention glass doors, delicate fixtures or surfaces with special care instructions. A bathroom maintained each week is a different task from one needing substantial residue removal.
If a shower needs significant catch-up work, send photos before the appointment. That allows the estimate to reflect the condition and helps determine whether a deep-clean priority should be added.
Bathroom care guide:
Bedrooms and living areas
Discuss accessible dusting, agreed furniture surfaces, mirrors and floors. Keep personal items in their usual places where possible so the team can spend the visit on cleaning. Identify any furniture, collections or surfaces that should not be touched.
Floor care should match the material. Tell us about special instructions from your flooring manufacturer and existing damage. Do not assume a cleaner will move heavy furniture, dismantle items or reach inaccessible storage to complete a routine visit.
Requests that need their own time or scope
Request | What to confirm |
Oven or refrigerator interior | Appliance condition, preparation and labour allowance |
Cupboard interiors | Which cupboards and whether they will be emptied |
Decluttering or organising | A separate plan for sorting and your decisions |
Windows | Separate scope and quotation |
Carpet or upholstery steam cleaning | Specialist team, separate quotation and scheduling |
Cleaning Fairy Vancouver does not add a separate oven-cleaning fee; oven work is billed through labour time. Adding it to a regular visit can change the time needed or the other priorities that fit. A request is best discussed before arrival rather than added at the end of the appointment.
Make the checklist useful for your home
Write down three must-do priorities and identify any rooms to skip. Tell us about pets, parking, access and where the work is most needed. If your budget is fixed, ask how to prioritise the available labour rather than treating every task as equally urgent.
Our team brings cleaning supplies and equipment. Tell us about material restrictions or product sensitivities beforehand so we can discuss suitable arrangements. A cleaning visit is also not a substitute for repairing a damaged finish or resolving an appliance fault.
Regular cleaning questions
Does regular cleaning include organising my belongings?
Routine cleaning and deciding where belongings should go are different tasks. Ask about organising support if sorting or decluttering is the main need.
Does every room have to be included?
Discuss the rooms and priorities you want covered. The agreed scope and labour allowance should match that plan.
How is the visit priced?
The minimum is four labour-hours. A single one-time visit costs CAD $60 per labour-hour; booking at least one additional cleaning of any type qualifies for $49 per labour-hour. GST is extra.
