This matters even when most of the home looks empty. A mattress against a wall, boxes in a closet or belongings inside a fridge can block specific tasks. A clear description helps us plan the visit and prevents a full vacant-property clean from being expected where parts of the home are still inaccessible.
Why does an empty property matter?
A move-out appointment is planned around preparing the property for handover. Our Vancouver service includes agreed kitchen and appliance work, storage interiors, bathroom details, floors, baseboards and other accessible areas. The team needs access to those surfaces to complete the booked scope.
Cleaning around remaining furniture can leave hidden areas unavailable until the furniture moves. Packing and moving can also bring new dust or debris into a room after it has been cleaned. Booking the final clean after removal creates a more practical sequence.

What should be removed before the visit?
Check the areas named in your quote, including spaces that can be easy to overlook during a move. Clear contents where interior cleaning is requested, and leave the team the access agreed in advance. Ask about anything you are unsure whether to remove.
Furniture and moving boxes in rooms to be cleaned.
Clothing, personal items and loose belongings inside closets.
Food and other contents in appliances included in the cleaning plan.
Items inside cabinets and drawers that need interior cleaning.
Bags or unwanted belongings waiting for collection.
Loose items blocking entryways or access to the work areas.
Do not remove built-in fixtures or disconnect appliances just to create access. If an area is blocked by an appliance, heavy item or installation, describe it in the request and ask what arrangements are appropriate. Cleaning does not automatically include dismantling, disconnecting or moving heavy objects.
What if the movers are delayed?
Contact us as soon as you know the property may not be vacant at the agreed time. Tell us which rooms are affected, what remains and when removal is expected. Photos can help explain the situation more clearly than "almost finished."
We will review what the change means for your appointment and scope. Do not assume the team can wait indefinitely, move furniture for the movers or complete inaccessible areas later within the original booking. Revised arrangements depend on the schedule and need to be confirmed.

What if the furniture is meant to stay?
A furnished rental handover or a sale with furniture remaining is different from a standard vacant-property move-out. Explain the situation and send photos before requesting a final appointment. Identify which items belong to the property and which areas you expect to be cleaned.
An occupied-home deep clean or another agreed scope may be more appropriate. We need to review that request rather than promise that all the usual vacant-property tasks can be completed around belongings. The agreed plan should name access limits and any areas outside the work.
Plan the order before booking
Confirm the movers' expected finish, removal of unwanted belongings and the time you can provide access. Include elevator reservations, parking and the final handover deadline. Leave room for delays instead of setting the cleaning start at the same time the last truck is expected to arrive.

Do not assume moving heavy furniture is included. Arrange removal with your movers or discuss the specific situation with us before the appointment is confirmed.
Can I pack while the team cleans?
For our standard Vancouver move-out service, the property should be vacant and cleared first. If you need cleaning while still living or packing there, explain that so we can assess the appropriate service and timing.
