How the hourly calculation works

A labour-hour means one cleaner working for one hour. Two cleaners working for three hours contribute six labour-hours. The number of cleaners changes the visit length; it does not turn six labour-hours into three billable hours.

What changes a move-out estimate?

Bathrooms: extra showers, tubs and detailed residue removal add work even in a compact apartment.
Kitchen condition: appliance interiors, racks, drawers, cabinet interiors and grease buildup affect the plan.
Access to surfaces: cupboards and rooms are easier to assess when your belongings have been removed.
Remaining contents: boxes, food and unwanted items can prevent access. Disposal and packing should be arranged separately.
Property condition: a maintained rental and a home needing substantial catch-up cleaning require different estimates.
Building access: tell us about parking, entry instructions, elevator bookings and the key handover deadline.

For a useful quote, send the approximate floor area, bedroom and bathroom counts, recent photos, moving date and the list of appliances or cupboards you want included. Photos of the actual condition are more useful than listing photos taken before the tenancy.

What should be confirmed separately?

Confirm the oven, refrigerator, cupboards and any specific inspection priorities in the agreed move-out scope. Cleaning Fairy Vancouver does not add a separate oven-cleaning fee: oven work uses cleaning labour time and should be planned into the visit.

Window cleaning and specialist carpet or upholstery steam cleaning are quoted separately. Do not assume those services are covered by multiplying the general cleaning hourly rate. Existing damage, worn finishes and permanent marks also need to be distinguished from removable dirt.

Plan the cleaning around the move

Arrange movers before the cleaning and allow time between completion and handover. Give the team a contact who can answer questions during the visit. If you have a limited budget, agree the priorities before arrival rather than assuming every requested task will fit the minimum booking.
