How to Book a One-Time Cleaning in Vancouver

4 min read

How do you schedule a one-time cleaning visit in Vancouver? Send Cleaning Fairy your location, home details, preferred date and the work you need done through our online request form. We review the information, clarify the scope and provide a personalized quote. Your requested date needs an availability check before the appointment is confirmed.

One-time cleaning is useful when you want occasional help without starting a recurring schedule. It may be a home refresh, help before visitors arrive or a reset after a busy period. If the home needs a deep clean, an empty-property clean or post-renovation work, tell us at the start so the visit is quoted for the right service.

Step 1: Describe the home and your main goal

Share the city, approximate home size, number of bathrooms and whether the property is furnished or empty. Explain what matters most: perhaps the kitchen and bathrooms need attention, or floors and dusting have fallen behind.

Photos can help explain conditions that are difficult to describe. A simple overview is more useful than a vague request to clean everything. Mention buildup, delicate finishes, pets, clutter and any area you do not want included. This helps us agree realistic priorities rather than make assumptions about your home.

Step 2: Separate routine tasks from extra requests

A one-time home refresh can cover agreed kitchen surfaces, bathroom cleaning, dusting, floors and general room upkeep. Appliance interiors, cabinet interiors, detailed buildup removal and organizing should be discussed separately when they are needed.

For example, wiping the outside of a refrigerator is a different task from emptying and cleaning its shelves and drawers. Vacuuming a carpet is different from specialist carpet extraction. Clear descriptions make quotes easier to compare and help avoid expecting specialist work within ordinary cleaning time.

Step 3: Understand the labour estimate

Cleaning Fairy Vancouver's standard one-time rate is CAD $60 per labour-hour. A rate of CAD $49 per labour-hour applies when at least one additional cleaning of any type is also booked. The minimum is four labour-hours, with GST extra.

At the standard rate, four labour-hours equal CAD $240 before GST. At the qualifying rate, the same labour quantity is CAD $196 before GST. These are minimum labour calculations, not a flat price for every home or a guarantee of completion within four labour-hours. Your quote reflects the requested work and the information supplied.

Labour-hours and elapsed visit time are different. Two cleaners working for two hours provide four labour-hours. Team size depends on the arrangement confirmed for your booking; do not assume a particular team size or finish time from the labour estimate alone.

Step 4: Share dates, access and building details

Provide your preferred date and any flexibility. If there is a deadline, include the time the property must be ready. Short-notice enquiries are welcome, but availability must be checked before a visit can be promised.

For an apartment or condo in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond or another community we serve, mention concierge instructions, fob access, visitor parking and any building requirements that affect the team. Confirm whether access to an elevator or loading area needs arranging with building management.

These practical details can affect how smoothly the appointment starts. Share access instructions through the booking process and make sure the agreed arrival arrangement will work on the day.

Step 5: Review the quote and booking details

Read the scope, estimated labour and any separate extras before accepting the quote. Check that your priority areas are included and ask about anything unclear. Follow the instructions in the quote and booking communication; submitting the request form by itself does not confirm an appointment.

If the condition or scope changes after the quote is prepared, let us know. Adding appliance interiors or another bathroom may require a revised estimate. The visit works best when the written plan matches the job the team will find.

Prepare once the appointment is confirmed

Keep the agreed areas accessible, put away valuables and identify any fragile surfaces or special care instructions. Tell us about pets and how they will be kept comfortable during the visit. You do not need to make the home look perfect before cleaners arrive; focus on access and the priorities already discussed.
